Marbella experiences two predominant wind types: the Levante wind, more common in summer, and the Poniente wind, prevalent during winter and spring. These consistent breezes, though generally moderate, make it a great spot for wind-dependent activities. Key Spots
Marbella offers excellent conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing, especially during autumn, winter, and spring at Playa de Cabopino, Playa de Los Monteros, and Playa de Río Verde. In summer, due to stricter regulations, Playa de Los Monteros has a designated “kitesurf zone.” For paddle surfing (SUP surfing) and traditional surfing, Playa de Cabopino is ideal, while Playa de Ventura del Mar is also great for surfing.
